Diagnosis: Supracondylar Fracture Left Humerus with DNVD
One more life saving, limb saving success story in our journey. But this time a 4yrs little child with fracture of left hand and delayed presentation. On examination patient was diagnosed as Supracondylar fracture of humerus with no flow distally, no pulses palpable. On exploration brachial artery was damaged with sharp piece of bone. Intra-arterial thrombus was identified, excised, damaged arterial segment was excised and an astomosed with end to end repair. Bone fixation done intra operative period was uneventful. With pre and post op care by team adarsha, we discharged the patient safely with well palpable distal pulse and a functioning limb. 6hrs efforts of whole team of doctors and a week full of dedicated care by the associate staff changed the direction of life of the kid from an amputated limb to words a happy smile.
