A 58 year old female, who is a known case of carcinoma ovary with primary peritoneal carcinoma, came to us for further management after 5 cycles of NACT.
Patient is a known hypertensive on medication.
CRS with HIPEC (cytoreductive surgery with hyperthermic intra peritoneal chemotherapy)
She was planned After thorough evaluation and all necessary preoperative preparations patient was posted for surgery.
Intraoperative details:
Under epidural and general anesthesia, total peritonectomy, total omentectomy, cholecystectomy, total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-ophorectomy and appendicectomy was done. HIPEC given with Cisplatin 120mg IP (at 75mg/m²) @ 42.5°C for 60 minutes.
Patient responded well with uneventful intra operative and postoperative period.
She was discharged in a stable condition on 8th POD.
